It is amazing to think that civilization back then could build something so amazing. They were built over a period of around 80 years, and the jewel in the crown has got to be the Sphinx. 

Pay A Visit To The Valley Of The Kings

The ancient royal burial ground, the Valley of the Kings is situated on the banks of the Nile near Luxor. There are a series of 63 different tombs, all with varying amounts of rooms under them. The biggest of these has 120 chambers. 

These amazing burial chambers were filled with riches and amazing artifacts. With so much rich history to explore, the Valley of the Kings should definitely be on your itinerary when you visit Egypt.
