Looking For A Fun Place To Go? Head To Napa Valley!

Travel is different for everyone. We are all searching for something unique on our holidays. It’s hard to find a destination that everybody will like. There are some places which can tick all the boxes though. Places that have something for everyone, regardless of age or hobbies. These amazing spots can be few or far between, but when you find them they can suck all the stress and worry from your travel and leave you feeling fulfilled and relax. None is better than California, specifically Napa Valley. Whether you’re a sports enthusiast, a foodie, or just like to drink the wine of all vintages and flavors, then Napa is for you. Remember, traveling is about finding new things and living through new experiences. The key is to go places that offer you the most, especially if your travel time is limited or you like to spend periods of time in the same location without moving around too much.

Wine Country

Napa is mainly known for its terrific wineries and tasting sessions. If you’re a wine lover then this is the place to be. Napa is known for producing some of the worlds best wines. They’re exported widely, but nothing beats tasting the wine where it was made. Whether you’re into Chardonnays, Merlots or Cabernets there will be something for you. There are many tasting sessions or tours for the true connoisseur, where you can even have a go at blending your own wine.

If you really wanted to taste the perfect wine, matched with the perfect food then consider a meet with a sommelier in Napa. Wine not for you? There are breweries too for those of you who prefer a beer in the Californian sunset. Again, brewery tours are available. Wine is the regions true specialty though. Napa can really broaden your horizons in terms of your favorite tipple and you’ll certainly leave having found a favorite new drink with a true, defined appreciation of the love and care which goes into making the perfect wine.

Wine isn’t everything though. For the golfers out there, Napa has some truly stunning courses that cater to all manner of skill levels. Vintner’s Golf Club is one of the best in the region but Silverado has more options in terms of course size with both North and South courses offering something a little different. Take it easy with a few lessons or if you’re a seasoned player get stuck right in. Just remember it can get searingly hot in the summer. If you’re not used to those kinds of temperatures then playing at the height of the day can be more of a chore than fun. The same goes for tennis. Silverado had plenty of courts for you to get on and the instructors to go with them. Sports lovers are covered in Napa.

Get Around In Style

The Napa Locomotive is a great way to see the beautiful valley. It also has a restaurant on board so you can eat while the valleys full of colorful vines cascade all around you. It goes between Napa and St. Helena, passing a trio of towns on its route. You can try wines aboard of course, but the train also offers special events depending on the white time of year it is. If you want to see the country in style, this is for you. Just remember to grab your tickets for the special events in enough time, the sell out times are varied, but to avoid disappointment you’d do best to secure your tickets fast. The Locomotive has a history all of its own if you’re a history buff and one for culture the Locomotive can scratch an itch while you’re enjoying your trip.

High Hiking

If you like the outdoors but enjoy experiencing it first hand instead of from a train or car, then Napa has some of the best hiking trails in the state. You can tackle a myriad or tracks tailored for all kinds of skill and endurance levels. All the while enjoying the stunning views of the vineyards. You can take a picnic, or just go for a quick trek in the morning to burn off some of the food and win you no doubt consumed the day before. The environment can change too. There are sparkling lakes to discover, varying foliage and a diverse amount of wildlife. The beautiful redwoods are always great to see, sometimes located in picturesque creeks. You can take a mountain bike to speed the process up too. Getting out and about can break up your trip to Napa and provide you with those stunning photography experiences that can make the trip last a lifetime.
