Our interview with Jeremy Scott Foster from travelfreak.net travel blog:
Why did you start travelling?
I started traveling because I didn’t like my job and I felt stagnant in life. I knew I would waste away if I didn’t do something more exciting with myself! So I bought a one way ticket to Australia (that was four years ago) and I never looked back! Now, I’m still on the move and I’m exploring new countries!
What’s the most important experience that you had during your travels?
My time in Asia was hugely significant to me. I learned about a different part of the world that, in every way, is entirely different to what I knew. I spent 13 months there and I look forward to being able to go back!
What is the most beautiful place that you have been to?
A small island off the coast of Cambodia had perhaps the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen, whereas Tiger Leaping Gorge in the Yunnan Province of China was host to the most beautiful mountains I’ve ever seen. There is so much beauty in the world, it’s hard to say that one place is more beautiful than any other!
What do you avoid when you travel?
Getting too comfortable! I like adventures (and misadventures)! Luxury is nice, but a good story lasts forever!
What is your biggest travel dream?
A safari in South Africa or the Northern Lights in Iceland. Or swimming with penguins in Antarctica (yes, swimming!). I’ve had this crazy dream to hitch-hike to South America, but I’m not sure if that will ever happen! There are so many things to do!
What are you favourites travelers? Which blogs do you read?
I love Charli and Ben over at Wanderlusters, as well as Kiersten at The Blonde Abroad. Matt, from Expert Vagabond is another one of my favorites.
