Our interview with Larissa from blonde-gypsy.com:
Why did you start travelling?
Because it was forced upon me. My parents took me on my first trip when I was at 9 months old (Hawaii) and I’ve been unstoppable ever since.
What is the most important during your travels?
To feel the places I visit, not just see them.
What is the most important experience that you had during your travels?
Probably the first real trip I took alone. It was in 2009 – I flew to Ukraine and traveled around for a month without knowing anyone there or anything about it. That trip totally rocked my world and completely changed my perception of what it means to travel in the best possible way.
What is the most beautiful place that you have been to?
I’d have to say the Balkans – definitely my favorite place on the planet right now.
What do you avoid when you travel?
Crowded spaces and places, questions like “so how long have you been traveling for?”, Irish bars, return tickets, falling in love. Also, aisle seats.
What is your biggest travel dream?
Iran, but not just any Iran. A U.S. passport friendly Iran where I don’t have to join a tour group and can wander freely. I’ve wanted to visit since I was old enough to understand what a country was since my dad was born there and has always spoken so highly of it and the people.
What blogs do you read?
To be honest, I don’t read many blogs. Mine because I have to and sometimes some of my friends’ if they post something that looks interesting. I’d rather be out doing shit if I have some free time, not staring at a screen.
