Dubai is known for its luxury and this former oil rich area has reinvented itself as a tourist destination that is known for its resorts, high-end hotels, fabulous restaurants, fabulous golf courses, and shopping. There are over 60 malls with hundreds of stores to lose yourself in including the latest in haute couture. Be sure to indulge in your adventurous side and try one of the luxury tours of the city and surrounding area by cruise, hot air balloon, private helicopter, or limousine. Koh Samui, Thailand
Koh Sami is the second largest island in Thailand and it is one of the most popular beach destinations for travellers. It can be reached in an hour by flight from Bangkok or Phuket. The area is known for its miles of white sandy beaches. Be sure to visit the 12m-tall golden Big Buddha statue at Wat Phra Yai Temple. The temple is on a separate island that can be reached by walking over a causeway. There are plenty of beaches to relax on or you can rent kayaks and explore the island on your own. There are plenty of deluxe accommodations including luxury resorts, luxurious cabins on the beach, and boutique hotels.
