Luxury in Asia – Here’s Where to Find It

Travelling to Asia doesn’t mean you will have to share a room with a bug the size of your fist, although you may see one or two on your trip.  You deserve to surround yourself in luxury when you travel and Asia has plenty to offer.

Bali, Indonesia

Bali is an Indonesian island and it is a relaxing place where you can indulge in luxury to your heart’s content. The area is known for forested volcanic mountains, coral reefs, and beautiful sandy beaches.

It is also known for retreats that specialize in yoga and meditation. Make sure you visit Uluwatu Temple that is located on top of a cliff. There are many fabulous villas for rent complete with concierges and all of the amenities that you desire.

Head to Kuta at night and check out the fabulous nightlife.  If you’re going to be visiting Bali for the first time, here are some tips to help you make the most of your trip.

Kyoto, Japan 

About three and a half hours by train from Tokyo (or 6 hours if you prefer to take Tokyo taxi), Kyoto is a beautiful, historical city with stunning temples, royal homes, and shrines. Be sure to visit Kinkaku-ji.

This Zen Buddhist is known for its gold leaf exterior and the reflection that it casts on the pond it sits on.

Be sure to visit the temple Kiyomizu-dera that sits on Mount Otawa and it has a fabulous balcony where you can enjoy a panoramic view. Wander through Nijō Castle, built in the early 17th century, and the Kyoto Imperial Palace to see where the wealthy once lived. 

Kyoto has many luxurious resorts that you can indulge in with spa services, fabulous food, and beautiful gardens to wander through.

Dubai

Dubai is known for its luxury and this former oil rich area has reinvented itself as a tourist destination that is known for its resorts, high-end hotels, fabulous restaurants, golf courses, and shopping.

There are over 60 malls with hundreds of stores to lose yourself in including the latest in haute couture. No matter what you pack for Dubai, you will come back home with more clothes for sure.

Be sure to indulge in your adventurous side and try one of the luxury tours of the city and surrounding area by cruise, hot air balloon, private helicopter, or limousine. Pamper yourself in the many spas that offer fine services. Don’t forget to book Dubai taxi and head out to the desert and watch the sun rise in the beautiful tranquility of nature.

Koh Samui, Thailand 

Koh Sami is the second largest island in Thailand and it is one of the most popular beach destinations for travellers.  It can be reached in an hour by flight from Bangkok or Phuket

The area is known for its miles of white sandy beaches. Be sure to visit the 12m-tall golden Big Buddha statue at Wat Phra Yai Temple. The temple is on a separate island that can be reached by walking over a causeway.

There are plenty of beaches to relax on or you can rent kayaks and explore the island on your own. There are plenty of deluxe accommodations including luxury resorts, luxurious cabins on the beach, and boutique hotels.

Pamper yourself with treatments at one of the amazing spas before heading out to enjoy the beautiful sunset on the beach.
