The Best Mineral Pools – Intro
Karolina’s hometown is quite close to Solec Zdroj, nevertheless, we have never heard of it. Few weeks ago, we were planning a weekend with our family at thermal and mineral pools. The most popular is to go to Slovakia or Hungary. We didn’t want to spend 6 hours on driving, so we were searching for something closer… And we found an amazing place!
Water in mineral pools
It turns out that in Solec Zdroj (Swietokrzyskie province) are the best mineral pools in the world. No kidding! Sulfuric water heals many diseases, such as discopathy, neuralgia, skin diseases, neurosis, osteoporosis and many more.
At pools, we met many foreigners, especially from France and UK. They came all the way to Poland, only to sit in therapeutic pool.
Mineral pools complex
There are 4 mineral pools in the complex:
- outdoor for swimming and relaxing
- indoor for children
- huge indoor for massage, swimming, playing volleyball etc.
- therapeutic indoor, only to sit and relax
You can find sunbeds in a complex. Outdoor for sunbathing and indoor for relaxing and sleeping.
There is also a restaurant in the complex. Prices are good and food is tasty. You can pay by cash, credit card or by your watch (the one you have to open your locker).
All additional charges will be taken when you are leaving the complex.
Solec Zdroj and neighbourhood
Solec Zdroj is a little village, so all you can do there is walking and relaxing 🙂
There’s a bigger town in neigbourhood called Busko Zdroj. It’s a tourist resort, you can find there many places to have fun. This town has also beautiful old town. It’s worth to go there after all day in pool complex!

The best is to get there by car.
