Big Berry – Slovenia’s secret lakeside retreat
Can you imagine the place that is so unspoilt that you can see the sky full of stars in the night? Where you are surrounded by the beautiful nature, green trees, amazing mountains and peaceful rivers? The place where you can truly unwind and forget about all the worries of everyday life. We found a green oasis like this- it is called Big Berry.
It is difficult to describe it- some people call Big Berry a glamping, which is a glamorous camping, where you have private bathroom, shower, comfy bed and so on.
Some say that it is a luxury landscape resort. In our opinion, neither of these are good names for Big Berry. For us it’s a Lakeside Retreat.
It is a place where you can relax and unwind. It is quiet enough to focus on yourself and connect to the nature.
Hébergement
Big Berry is a cameral and small resort, with less than 10 mobile homes. They are surprisingly luxurious– each of them have a private hot tub in the front, bathroom, TV, WiFi, kitchenette and can accommodate up to 6 people.
There is a lot of space between the houses, so all the guests have private access to the river.
Petit-déjeuner
This is what we loved the most about Big Berry! The breakfast is delivered every morning directly to your room.
At 8 am you will have the basket full of delicious food at your terrace. No matter what time you will wake up- it will be waiting for you.
Everything that you will get is organic and prepared by the local producers. Fresh bread, milk, yoghurt, honey and fruits are really healthy and delicious.
Things to do
Big Berry is located in the Bela Krajina, the beautiful region located at the Slovenian and Croatian border.
