The Most Romantic Things To Do In Monte Carlo For Couples

Even if a couple’s relationship does not always match the ideal duos shown in popular romance films, it may still be a wonderful experience full of fun couple activities, romantic date nights, meaningful bonding, and crazy things to do to build your connection.

A fulfilling relationship should be full of memorable moments that bring you two closer together, make you laugh, and allow you to express your love nonverbally. Here are some of the most romantic things to do in Monte Carlo as a couple to ensure you don’t become bored with your daily routine and instead start bonding through exciting new experiences.

Monte Carlo is a part of Monaco’s tiny principality on the beautiful French Riviera that the Prince of Monaco rules. The principality is only two square kilometers in size, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in style. This is one of the world’s wealthiest areas, one of the most beautiful, and has many famous landmarks.

Without further ado, I give you the best things to do as a couple in Monte Carlo.

Casino de Monte Carlo

The Casino de Monte Carlo is one of the most well-known casinos globally, constructed in 1893 in the flashy Beaux-Arts style. The marble atrium is similarly ornate, with 28 onyx columns greeting you as you enter the Gaming Rooms.

The scenery is sure to please James Bond fans, as this is supposed to be the setting for the James Bond novel Casino Royale. There are several gaming rooms here, each with its own theme, but while you’re trying your luck, make sure to look up and see the chandeliers and magnificent artwork.

Villa Paloma

Monaco’s newest contemporary art museum is the whitewashed Villa Paloma. The New National Museum of Monaco (NMNM) comprises the Villa Paloma and its sister museum, Villa Sauber.

The NMNM features French Riviera artists such as Jean Cocteau, Claude Monet, and Kees Van Dongen. Fassi Cadet, a Niçoise glazier, created a stunning stained-glass window on the stairwell of Villa Paloma. After your tour, have a look at the well-kept garden, which features stone terraces with Mediterranean flora and a magnificent view of Monte-Carlo.

Monte Carlo Cathedral

Prince Rainier and Princess Grace were married at the Cathedral, which is also known as Saint Nicholas. It is located in the old town and was built in 1875 on the site of a 13th-century church.

The daily changing of the guard in the old town, also known as The Rock or Le Rocher in French, takes place at 11.55 a.m.

Palais du Prince

Are you eager to see a monarchy system that you have only heard about in books? Then, take a tour of the Palais du Prince, which is home to the Grimaldi Family, a royal family.

The original fort was built in the 13th century by the Republic of Genoa on the apex of a stony slope. The location has been restored and rebuilt throughout time and is open to the public, though only in limited parts.

Inside the Palais du Prince, you may see the Italian gallery, the throne room, the Mazarin room, and other attractions. In addition, you can pay a visit to the home of the prince and his family.

Le Metropole Shopping Center

The Metropole is a shopping mall unlike any other. The three floors are connected by sweeping staircases that wouldn’t look out of place on the Titanic.

Giant crystal chandeliers hang above marble walkways. With 80 boutiques, including designer brands like Phillipp Pleine, Kenzo, and Blumarine, and high-end, high-street names like Tommy Hilfiger and Hugo Boss, the mall is ideal for window shopping. It’s also a great spot to cool off for an hour, admire the design, and people-watch.

Monaco Grand Prix

During the last weekend in May, the legendary Formula One Monaco Grand Prix race takes place in Monte-Carlo. The track travels from Boulevard Albert 1 to Place du Casino and around the treacherous bend in front of the Fairmont Hotel Monte-Carlo.

The Monaco Grand Prix is one of the most popular sporting events globally, organized by the Automobile Club of Monaco. It isn’t easy to get a decent view because of the crowd, but the ambiance is worth it.

Larvotto Beach

Larvotto is a free-to-the-public beach located just a short walk from Monte-Carlo. It is one of Monaco’s most popular beaches.

However, unlike many other beaches along the French Riviera, this one has pebbles rather than sand, so wear firm shoes and be prepared to pay a few euros for a chair rental.
